Amazon S3 announces lower bandwidth prices starting June 1. Get all the details here.

If this new pricing had been applied to customers’ March 2007 usage, 75% of Amazon S3 customers would have seen their bill decrease, while an additional 11% would have seen an increase of less than 10%. Only 14% of customers would have experienced an increase of greater than 10%.”

Bubbleshare gets a pay day

Techcrunch reported today that one of my favorite companies has finally gotten a payday. I thought for sure that Bubbleshare would have been sold sometime ago. Techcrunch reports that BubbleShare was sold to Kaboose Inc. for $2.25 million plus up to another $750k. You can see my previous post on Bubbleshare here and you can see a video demonstration here. Good luck to Albert and his team.

It’s been a while…

I apologize for the lack of post over the last month. I’ve been busy working on a new site and haven’t had time to update allthatscool. I do have lost of stuff to talk about but no time for now. I also plan on making some changes here, like and new look and a change to Wordpress from Movable Type. I’ve been using Wordpress for another project and have been real impressed. The only problem that I’ve seen with WP so far is that if you have multiple blogs you’ll have to have multiple installs. With MT you can do multiple blogs with one install. But still, WP rules. Stay tuned for new stuff coming soon.

Techcrunch takes a big lead in voting

Over at Businessweek.com, they have opened up voting for their Best of the Web. Under the best Blog category, Techcrunch has a early dominating lead. Very fitting since Mike Arrington was just reported as making $60k per month.

IRS to put the smack down on big dollar blogs

Business 2.0 did an article about some high profile bloggers and blog networks making some serious cash. Apparently Techrunch’s Michael Arrington is making $60k a month, and the Fark dude is making 2-3 times more than Arrington. Wow, not a bad chunk of change. Whoever thought you could make that kind of money working from home “blogging”. I sure hope these guys are keeping good books because I guarantee the IRS reads Business 2.0.

Kiko calendar on ebay for $50k

kikologo.pngIf you have an extra $50k and want to get a cool Web 2.0 product. You can, Kiko calendar is on Ebay for a starting bid of $49,999.99. So, if you got the dough, then buy it and then bid on the Techcrunch party tickets. You can get a cool product and promote it all at the same time.

Sure sign of a bubble

Techcrunch is having another party. I guess it’s gotten so popular that they have to limit the amount of attendees. They have at least 700 people attending. Guess what, you can still attend if you’re the winning bidder on ebay. I think it’s pretty sad that it’s come to this. I like the Techcrunch blog and I know that they can bring a lot of traffic to your new web venture, but are they so important that you need to bid on tickets to attend their party? I hope not. Make something good and people will find you.
