iCross cap and Lanyard for your iPod shuffle

A friend of mine clued me in on this product. This is probably not the most appropriate place to post this but I thought it was funny and interesting at the same time. If you have an iPod shuffle and would like to let the world know you’re down with the Cross, then check out the iBelieve

Straight out of a Science Fiction movie- TactaPad

tactadraw.jpgNo mouse needed for your computer. The TactaPad is a device that allows you to control your computer with your hands. It’s as if your hands are inside the computer (remember ZooLander). Go to the TactaPad website and check it out for your self. This is how TactaPad explains their product:

See — The TactaPad’s camera continually captures an image of your hands. Your hands are translucently overlaid on your display as live video.

Touch — The TactaPad is touched directly with the hands. The surface can be touched in multiple places at the same time. A cursor appears on your display for every touch.

Feel — The surface moves vertically when pressed, providing dynamic force feedback. Each touch has a unique feel, which corresponds to the object being touched.

The New Apple NANO

Apple’s new iPod nano will feature 4G bytes of capacity for $249 in a device that is thinner than a #2 pencil, said Steve Jobs, at a jam-packed media event at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.

The iPod nano is 80 percent smaller than Apple’s original iPod and 62 percent smaller than the iPod mini, Jobs said. It weighs 1.5 ounces (42 grams) and comes with a color screen. The device is available in some stores as of Wednesday, and stores around the world expected to have the device by the end of the week, he said.

I think this might be the coolest IPOD yet. I thought the shuffle was a dumb idea and the “mini” wasn’t small enough. The NANO looks like it will be small enough and have all of the features of the standard size ipods.

I keep thinking that I’ll just wait on purchasing any new music players until someone comes up with the all inclusive phone, camera MP3 player. Apple and Motorola have teamed up to make a cool new phone but it’s suppose to only hold 100 songs. Also Sony is coming out with a phone/MP3 player soon. As soon as I know more about either one I’ll get you a update.

The Nano is suppose to be available starting today. You can purchase it and read more about it here Apple.com

For “Techie” Alcoholics out there. The KegBot.

Ever wanted to know all of the details of how much you drank last night? Well…me neither. However this guy has come up with a ingenious party device called the KegBot. Basically the KegBot is a software program that hooks up to a customized Kegerator that will track how much you drink over the life of a keg. In the words of the KegBot inventor;

The kegbot is a kegerator that has been equipped with special tracking hardware and software; it runs linux. by limiting and tracking access to the product, you can find out how much people drink, how much is left in the keg, and other fun stuff.

Whenever they have a new keg they post the results live on the site. I would love to have one for my next party.
