Web 2.0 Reality TV with Rockstartup.com

RockStartup LogoThe folks from payperpost have been doing a side project called Rockstartup which is a “Web 2.0 Realty Show”. They make a web series that shows, a kind of day in the live of running a business. It’s not that it’s a must see, but it does give an inside look on how other people run a business. As an entrepreneur, it’s always fascinating to me to see how others run there company.

If you’re not familiar with payperpost, you can read Techcrunch’s post about them here.

Thanks for the props! We try to make the show as interesting as possible. If you have any ideas feel free to pass them along!

I’ve actually made it a personal goal of mine to make my confessionals both entertaining and engaging. In fact, in my last “episode” I charged viewers to write in questions, and I’d answer them! So far I’ve not received any.

I read that post on Techcrunch and it looks that Arrington doesn’t think that what PayPerPost is doing is very ethical. I’m not sure if I agree with him as I think as long as you disclose that you’re getting paid for a post then it’s ok. Just look at what johnchow.com does. As for the Rockstartup shows, I’ve watched a few but I have wonder where are they getting there money from? $20k to host a party? Sounds like someone is reliving 1999.

Hey, Jeff. Good points, for sure. Disclosure was certainly a point of concern for many folks during the launch, but now it’s required — at least with PayPerPost.

As for the money for PostieCon, well, that’s when you start working with sponsors!
