Social Networking in the real world

tribewanted.gifOk, not really the world, more like a time share hippie commune on a Fijian island. I read about a interesting business idea in USAToday, this weekend. Apparently, a couple of guys from England have started a company called Tribewanted.com that is a sort of Myspace, Eco Community Time Share project. It’s quite cool actually, you have three membership levels, priced at $220, $440 and $660 a year, which will entitle you to spend one, two or three weeks annually on a Fijian island, 100 people at a time. The Myspace part of this is that you join the community online to plan you involvement with the Island like, nameing the island or deciding the power source. They have over 600 members already, which apparently has already paid for their 3 year lease on the island. If it wasn’t so expensive to travel there, I think the project sounds fun and I would love to be involved. I’ll for sure be following their progress.
