Michael Robertson talks about ajax OS

I just watched a interesting presentation by Michael Robertson, from the Desktop Linux Summit (i didn’t know there was such a thing). He was talking about his company AJAX Launch and their latest product ajax OS.

ajaxOS is a Linspire-based operating system with some revolutionary new features to support the adoption of web-based software.

He’s very convincing with his evangelism for ajax OS. His big thing is that he foresees the majority of desktop application moving to the “clouds” (his way of saying the internet). I think he’s right in a lot of ways, especially if both desktop and webtop applications can be combined. In other words, if you can work on your spreadsheet with out having to be online.
