The Floozer Puppet Porn

I got a good laugh out of this site. It goes to show you that people have way to much time on their hands. If you like this sort of thing then it’s worth a visit.

Last.fm Music player and more

After doing a write up about Pandora (see Discover new music you’ll love 09-02-2005) a couple of weeks ago. I took a look around to see if there were other music players that were similar. I came across Last.fm, which happens to be an older application but was just redesigned in 2005. Unlike Pandora, Last.fm is a downloadable application. At first glance, it looks like in order to get the full experience from Last.fm you will need to download 2 applications. The first application is an ad-on for Itunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp and others. This ad-on collects this music that you play and sends it back to Last.fm. With the hopes that it will build a better playlist based on your actual likes. The second application is the actual last.fm music player. Last.fm generates recommendations from your musical tastes by compiling a list of people who listen to the same things you do and suggests bands they also play and that you don’t.

Here’s how Last.fm describes their service:

“You get your own online music profile that you can fill up with the music you like. This information is used to create a personal radio station and to find users who are similar to you. Last.fm can even play you new artists and songs you might like. It’s addictive, it’s growing, it’s free, it’s music.”

Mars Exploration Rover Mission

NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the Californian Institute of Technology have a web site that’s devoted to the Mars Exploration Rover Mission. The site is awesome. They have pictures taken by the Rover and updated daily. Additionally there are videos, charts, and graphs and just about anything you could imagine pertaining to this mission.

ASR Weekend in San Diego

asr.jpg
This past weekend was the Action Sports Retailing (ASR) trade show that took place at the San Diego convention center. If you’re not familiar with ASR then you probably don’t work in the action sports industry. ASR is the biggest trade show of it’s kind. It caters to retailers, so that they can come to one central location to meet face to face with their vendors, write orders and see the next season’s line-up. It’s a pretty crazy experience to attend.

Here’s some links to sites that has photos and video of some of the ASR activities:

Bathroom art collection at itsallinthehead.com

Sometimes when I’m in a public bathroom and I see some funny graffiti on the wall, I take a picture of it. It’s just one of my many OCD related issues. So, as you might could imagine, I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone has a website devoted to bathroom art. It’s a very tastefully done website with some real cool photos. Check it out for your self at itsallinthehead.com

Play all of your favorite “old school” arcade games online

If you like to play “old school” arcade games like Galaga, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, 1942 and others, then you’re going to love this site. So far, I’ve played Donkey Kong and Galaga and they both have the same game play as the original arcade games. The only real difference is that you’re using your keyboard instead of the game joystick. The downside of this site is that they have some crazy advertising “pop-ups” going on. So, be careful where you click. If you have some time to kill then check out this site.

Mark’s board that he ollied the Wallenberg 4 on at the Rumble showdown in ’04. It’s broken in half. MARK GONZALES HAS HIS own hand writing on it saying how he ollied the 4, 10 years earlier, but it was windy that day. It has been on my wall since that day.

Mark gave this to me a few years ago. It’s fragile. Missing one wheel from the board. If there was a fire at my house I would grab my wife and kid and this statue.
