The new convertible Saturn Sky

I got to start by saying that I’m not convertible type person. I’m really more about a pick-up. Anyway, I saw this new car for Saturn called Sky. It looks pretty darn cool. It’s 170hp, 2.4 L 4-cylinder. It’s definitely a stylish looking car.

Goowy email

Go sign up for your free Goowy email account. Goowy is a new free email service that the GUI (graphical user interface) was built using flash. It looks cool. I have to many email accounts already but I thought I would go ahead and give this a try anyway. Maybe I can just use it when I sign-up for porn related stuff. Haha.

What should I read next- Cool way to get book recommendations

wsirnlogo.jpg
If you like to read then you should check out whatshouldireadnext.com

WSIRN produces recommendations based purely on collective taste: when books are entered into the same favorites list, they become associated with each other. The more often particular books appear on different lists, the stronger that association becomes. Purely and simply, WSIRN represents mass opinion about books. Over time the recommendations should get better and better as the database grows. (Note that books by authors you have entered won’t appear in the results - we’ve assumed that you’ve thought of reading those!)

gametap-subscription gaming

gametap.gif
I had the opportunity this weekend to check out Gametap.com. Gametap is a new service from Turner Broadcasting. Gametap is a monthly subscription service for gamers. Basically it works like this, you download an application and install it on your computer. You then subscribe to the gametap service for $14.95(?) per month and get access to over 200 classic and modern video games. Everything from Pong to Splinter Cell. They said that they’ve licensed over 1000 games and plan on releasing new ones every week after the initial launch. For more information check out gametap.com

Netvibes home page

Last week I wrote about Protopage, a web home/start page. After doing that write-up, one of my readers clued me in on Netvibes. It’s not as “pretty” as protopage but it has more to offer. For instance Netvibes lets you add your favorite RSS/ATOM feeds. Additionally you can be alerted to incoming email for your Gmail account. In addition to the previous mentioned features you can also see your local weather or do a web search with your favorite search engine. Check it out for yourself at: netvibes.com

Be a kid again with LEGO DIGITAL DESIGNER

lego.jpgI remember when I was kid and a lot of my friends in my neighborhood would build stuff with Lego’s. I remember one friend in particular that was a only child and his parents bought him anything he wanted. So, he had thousands of Lego pieces. Since I didn’t have any Lego’s I would go over to his house and build stuff with his Lego’s. I remember if I built something that looked cooler than his, he would get all mad and say that we can’t play with the Lego’s anymore. I guess you could say he was a spoiled brat. Anyway, if you didn’t get to have a Lego experience when you were a kid then you need to download LEGO® Digital Designer! According to them “you can build anything in your imagination using virtual LEGO bricks - right on your computer at home!”

Blik wall graphics

invader_image.jpg
If you’re like me then you’re tired of looking at your white (insert your wall color) walls. I’ve been in my house for around 4 months now and have only painted my living room. All of the walls in my house are white. So, I’ve been looking around for a easy way to spruce up my walls, particularly my office. Voila, I found Blik. They make self-adhesive wall decals that come in a varity of designs. It would be a quick fix for my office except whoever redid my house before I bought it decided to put texture on the walls. I have a sneaky suspicion that the Blik wall decals want stick very well to a textured wall. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to paint and maybe make some stencils. Regardless, if you would like to add some color to your walls without painting then check out blik.

Take drink list with you on your iPod with iPod Bartender

ipod_bar.jpgIf you have a 3rd or 4th generation iPod then you can take a list of drinks with you, wherever you go. “The iPod bartender contains all the drink recipes available.” I don’t really see much of a use for this if you’re a bar person. But, if you’re a house party person then this could be kinda fun. Either way it would be cool to have all of the “drink recipes available” at your disposable. Just think of all the trouble you could get into. You can download either the iPod bartender or the iPod bartender shuffle. I can see some fun games coming out of the Bartender shuffle (if you have a stocked bar).

ObjectGraph Dictionary

I find myself using dictionary.com all day long, mostly because I suck at spelling. I guess that’s what I get for going to school in rural North Carolina. I also have grammer grammar issues but that’s another story. Anyways, I checked out ObjectGraph’s Dictionary and I like it. It’s pretty cool becasue because as you type, results are displayed in realtime. In addition to the standard dictionary, they also have a Thesauraus Thesaurus that features 30,000 root words with 2.5 million synonyms and related words. You can also search the Dictionary of Computing and the Periodic table of Elements. Overall this is a very useful website.
